This year too, Pastificio Strampelli stood alongside the crews of the Cooking Cup Pescara 2026, the challenge that combines sailing, cooking, and – for the first time – engines.

On board the approximately 30 participating offshore vessels, amateur chefs competed in preparing a dish based on langoustines, pairing our Strampelli pasta with the ingredients provided by the organization. The real challenge? Cooking while sailing, coordinating the preparation of the dish with sailing maneuvers. A challenge that tested not only the palate but also organization and composure.

At the end of the sail, the dishes were presented to the jury led by chef Santino Strizzi, who evaluated presentation, technique, and taste. Winning the award for best dish was “Bloody Bolina,” a creation by cook Anna Palmieri for the crew of Idea Fissa 2.

For us at Pastificio Strampelli, seeing our pasta at the heart of such an original competition, where the sea meets cuisine, was a source of great pride. The Cooking Cup 2026 proved that even out at sea, a well-made pasta dish can make all the difference.
